I am a first year biology Master's student at Chico State University. I grew up in Placerville, a small mountain town in Northern California, where my passion for wildlife and the outdoors was cultivated. Since I was young, I've been curious about interactions in the environment and always wanted to work in the field of ecology. I've volunteered for biologists with California Department of Fish and Wildlife on field work surveys, conducted several small scale research studies on animal behavior, worked for a forest genetics lab, and am currently working for a salmon habitat restoration project alongside my graduate research. I plan to pursue a career in wildlife biology or conservation after the completion of this degree.
I love to hike, camp, rock climb, water ski, and pretty much anything outdoors! I also enjoy singing and playing guitar or piano in my free time! |
